Anderson, William (16 Oct 1893 – 26 May 1976)

William Anderson, Route 2, Curtiss, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been admitted on Monday.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s American Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Burial was made in the Norwegian (St. Paul) Lutheran Cemetery, Curtiss. Officiated was the Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor.

Mr. Anderson was born October 16, 1893 in the Town of Beaver, Clark County. He married the former Hulda Mahlsted on June 6, 1923, at Marshfield, and they farmed in the Township of Colby. Mr. Anderson served 26 years as supervisor for the township, and was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1973.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Arthur, Tucson, Ariz., and Alfred, Abbotsford, and two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Reichert and Mrs. David (Frieda) Schuchardt, both of Tucson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
