Wing, Oscar (19 Mar 1909 – May 1976)
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15, 1976, at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church for 67 year old Oscar Wing of Munising, Michigan. Father Emil Beyer
officiated, with members of the family participating in the Liturgy.
Mr. Wing had been ill with cancer for several months.
Born in Withee, Wisconsin on March 19, 1909, head had been a resident of
Munising since 1935. For 38 years he was employed at Kimberly-Clark Paper
Company as assistant fireman in the powerhouse. He retired in 1974.
Survivors are his wife, Emma, of Munising; a son, Robert of Munising; two
daughters, Mrs. James (Janet) Brown of Lombard, Ill., and Mrs. Gilbert (Carol)
Wallace of El Paso, Texas; three brothers, Walter of Three Forks, Montana,
Arthur of Glasgow, Montana, and Marvel of Munising; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys
Wilder of Three Rivers, Michigan, Mrs. Dagne Kordish of Plainwell, Michigan, and
Mrs. Louis (Sylvia) Passinault of Munising, Michigan. He leaves eight
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
