Behm, Oscar M. (30 August 1898 – 2 July 1977)

A Neillsville resident since 1967, Oscar M Behm, 78, was pronounced dead upon arrival Saturday, July 2, at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were to be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Oscar Behm, son of Mike and Amanda Zirbel Behm, was born August 30, 1898, at Menomonie City, Mi., and was educated in Michigan schools. He moved to Milwaukee as a young man and worked at Metropolitan Sewage company there for many years, retiring in 1963. A member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Men’s club, Mr. Behm passed away suddenly at his home on Ayers St.

On May 28, 1940, at Dubuque, Ia., he was married to the former Anna Klein, who survives. Also surviving ae one son, Melvin Behm of Lakeport, Ca.; one brother, Fred Behm of West Allis; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
