Pope, Grant ""Dick" (25 August 1897 - 8 May 1983)

DORCHESTER - Grant "Dick" Pope, 85, Route 1, Dorchester, died Sunday at his home in the Town of Holton.

Services will be Wednesday at the Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingdom Hall, Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester.

He was born August 25, 1897 in the Town of Holton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin (Marie Konecny) Pope. He married Viola Roder October 29, 1924 in Milan. He farmed in the Town of Holton; was director of the R.E.A. Cooperative of Greenwood, the Dorchester Cooperative, and the Stetsonville Farmers Union Cooperative, of which he had served as manager. He was a member of the Dorchester Senior Citizens Club.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Joyce Rae) Pokallus of Abbotsford; two sons, Gene of River Falls and Kayo of Stetsonville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Brecke of Medford and Mrs. Marie Baillies of Pardeeville; and one brother, Clyde of Wausau.

He was predeceased by one son, Armin in 1940, two brothers and two sisters.
