Froland, Richard & Myrtle (Gold – 20 Jun 1976)
Richard and Myrtle Froland are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on
Sunday, June 20, 1976 at an open house (2 – 5 p.m.) at Zion Lutheran Church in
Hanska, Minnesota.
The Froland’s owned and operated the Red & White Grocery Store in Owen from 1939
until 1953. Richard was president of the library board and a charter member of
Kiwanis in Owen. They were both active members in the Finnish Lutheran Church in
Owen. Their daughter, Betty Ann, graduated from Owen High School in 1944 and
Marjorie Kay was born in Owen in 1940.
