Nissula, John J. (5 Aug 1885 – 11 Aug 1976)

Services for John J. Nissula, 90, Greenwood, were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. Mr. Nissula died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Officiating was the Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Withee. Burial was at the Withee Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Nissula was born August 5, 1885 in Finland, where he received his education, and came to America in 1902. After he married Maria Nissula on April 12, 1912, at Winton, Minnesota, the couple came to the Greenwood area. He was preceded in death by his wife, on son, Henry, and one daughter, Bertha.
