At formal graduation exercises on May 27, 1976, Western Wisconsin Technical
Institute graduated 760 students who had successful completed full time
instructional program.
This was the largest graduating class in the Institute’s history. Formal
graduation programs were started ten years ago, in 1966, when the school first
graduated students from associate degree courses, and was made a technical
institute.
Graduating classes have grown each years since 1966, when 42 students were
granted associate degrees, and 111 graduates received vocational diplomas, for a
total graduating class of 153 students.
This year, 1976, the associate degree was awarded to 433 graduates, who
successfully complete two-year technical programs, and 327 received diplomas for
completing one and two year vocational courses.
Among the 1976 graduates from the area was Mark R. Larson, in Bio-Medical
Electronics.
