Chili-Haslow Ball Park (Dedication – 24 July 1977)
On Sunday, July 24, at 1 p.m. dedication of the new Haslow Ball Park place at
Chili. This is a project started three years ago by the Chili area Lions Club
with the donation of land by E.C. Haslow, a longtime resident of Chili. He is a
retired business man, and a lifetime supporter of youth and sports activities in
the Chili area.
The new ball park, which has a newly-graded diamond, new fencing, bleachers, and
night lights, as well as a concession stand, represents many hours of work by
Chili Lions members, as well as donations from so many Chili area people that to
name them all would be impossible.
Slow pitch tournament action took place at the ball park beginning on Thursday,
July 21, at 7 p.m. through July 24.
