Jantz, Anita A. (28 January 1925 – 1 May 2021)
Anita A. Jantz, 96, of Colby, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Colonial
Center in Colby.
Anita was born on January 28, 1925 in Abbotsford; the daughter of Gustav and
Anna Hoeft. She attended Abbotsford Schools. On July 28, 1943, she was united in
marriage to Verlyn Jantz in Marshfield. Sadly, Verlyn passed away on March 14,
2007. Anita was a homemaker and a farmer.
Hobbies included reading books, working her mind with crossword puzzles and
picture puzzles and sewing.
Those that will cherish her memory are her children: Carol Schonfeldt of
Stratford, Terry Jantz of Stratford, and Betty Demirkan (Serhan) of Crystal
River, FL; her grandchildren: Steven (Lori) Jantz of Marshfield, Michael
(Sheila) Jantz of Auburndale, Mark (Becky) Jantz of Colby, Kim (Shawn) Balz of
Marshfield, Heather (Thomas) Schonfeldt-Campbell of Raleigh, NC and Adam
(Trisha) Schonfeldt of Mosinee; her eight great-grandchildren and her nephew,
Philip (Mary Rose) Antinori of Romeoville, IL along with many other relatives
and friends.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Anna Hoeft; her husband,
Verlyn Jantz; her sisters, Esther Antinori and Adelyn Rogers; her brother,
Lester Hoeft; her grandson, Patrick Jantz and her son-in-law, Dennis Spotts.
A committal and prayer service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021
in Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. The honor of pallbearers belongs to Steven
Jantz, Mike Jantz, Mark Jantz and Kim Balz. At a later time, a celebration of
Anita’s life will be held with her family and friends when it is safe to do so.
