County Extension-4-H (Scholarships - 1977)
Each year two $150 scholarships are awarded by the Clark County Extension
Homemakers and the 4-H Leaders Foundation. Mrs. Marcia Crothers, Granton,
chairwoman of the scholarship committee, announced this past week that
recipients for 1977 are Jody Opelt, Greenwood, and Sandra Naedler, Granton.
Twenty-one of Clark County’s young men and women applied for the scholarships.
The extension Homemakers scholarship was given to Jody Opelt, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Opelt, Rt. 1 Greenwood. Jody is a senior student in nursing at
UW-Milwaukee.
Sandra Naedler, recipient of the 4-H and Extension Homemakers scholarship is the
daugher of Pat and William Naedler, Jr., Granton. She is a junior studying
special education at UW-Eau Claire.
Alternates for the two scholarships are David Pescinski, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Pescinski, Rt. 2 Spencer, and Carmel Ellenbecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Ellenbrecker3, Rt. 1 Unity.
