Herman, Helen Louise (4 Jul 1976)

Wedding vows were exchanged July 4, 1976 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee by Helen Louise Herman and Dennis Philip Rohland, both of South Milwaukee. The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor, solemnized the vows.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rose C. Larsen, 8551 S. Fifth Ave., Oak Creek. The groom’s parents are Mr. and mrs. Emil Rohland, Withee.

Sonia Groenewold played the organ for the rite, while Louis Luedke sang.

For her special day, the bride selected a white organza gown with appliqued flowers studded with white pearls and a shoulder length veil. Her bouquet consisted of red carnations, white roses and blue baby’s breath.

Dotted Swiss gowns were worn by her aides, Miss Roberta Wise, Milwaukee, maid of honor, and Mrs. Gerald Switalski, Mrs. Jerold Foote, and Mrs. Donald Luedke, bridesmaids. Their bouquets consisted of a trio of red roses.

Junior bridd was Sandra Herman, and Junior groom was John Herman.

The groom was attended by Jerald Hill, Glenbulah, best man, and David Lindgren, Thomas Becker and Donald Luedke, groomsmen. Ushers were Jeffrey Rohland and Darrin Luedke.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Loyal American Legion Hall.

The couple will reside in South Milwaukee, where the new Mrs. Rohland is an office clerk for Bucyrus Erie Co., and Mr. Rohland is a revenue agent.
