Kieser, Gottlieb "G.G." (28 December 1890 - 11 May 1983)

ABBOTSFORD - Gottlieb "G.G." Kieser, 92, Abbotsford, died Wednesday in the emergency room at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Joseph Giovenco will officiate. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Maurine Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

He was born December 28, 1890 in Russia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig (Henrietta Krueger) Kieser and came to the United States in the early 1900's. He moved to Athens, where he worked in the lumber mills. He married Stella Habeck September 29, 1925 in Athens and operated a barber shop there until 1936. He then moved to Abbotsford, operating a barber shop there until the late 1960's.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Frederick of Neillsville, Donald of Abbotsford and Dennis of Thorp; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Quade of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Doris Hodd of Melrose, Mrs. Marilyn Brown of mason City, Iowa, Mrs. Kurt (Carol) Bartz of Merrill, Mrs. Warrwn (Muriel) Puhl of Menomonie and Mrs. Lynn (Marjorie) Gehring of Eleva; 24 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. he was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
