Below, Herman (21 September 1921 - 10 May 1983)

CHIPPEWA FALLS - Spencer native Herman F. Below, 86, Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday at his home.

He was born in Spencer and married Ann Hagen September 21, 1921 in Chippewa Falls. He was a milk inspector for American Stores of Neillsville. They lived in Stanley and Neillsville until 1963, when they moved to Chippewa Falls.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Louis of Leucadia, California; a daughter, Bonnie Laudahl of San Francisco; two brothers, Martin of Spencer and Carl of West Allis; two sisters, Ella Kalopf of Milwaukee and Laura Schallock of Pontiac, Michigan; and two granddaughters.

Services will be Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, both in Chippewa Falls. Visitation is at the Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

The family prefers memorials to the church.
