Services for Andrew Christensen, 70, Route 2, Withee, were held at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Mr. Christensen died at 6:30 a.m.
Saturday, July 10, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had
been admitted on Thursday.
Officiating was the Rev. Lloyd Yaggie, pastor. Burial was made in the church
cemetery.
Mr. Christensen was born May 20, 1906 in Denmark. He married the former Ellenora
Andersen on December 15, 1945, at Withee.
He came to the United States from Denmark at the age of 18 and worked in Chicago
until 1950. The couple then moved to a farm in the Town of Hixon, where they
farmed until 1960. He then worked for the Clark County Hospital in Owen,
retiring in 1971.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, a son, James, Reedsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Richard
(Edith) Pienschke, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles.
