Henneman, Bonnie J. (30 July 1977)
Miss Bonnie J. Henneman became the bride of Richard Allen Butts, Jr., in a
double-ring ceremony performed July 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Neillsville by Fr. Maris of Alma Center. A reception and dance followed at the
Neillsville American Legion Hall. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Henneman, Sr., of Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neil Butt, Sr., of
Rt. 3 Neillsville.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a lace-trimmed satin
gown styled with a scoop neckline and a long train of matching lace. Her chapel
length veil was held by a Camelot headpiece. The gown and veil were fashioned by
the bride. Her flowers were red and white roses.
Kathryn Henneman, Marshfield, was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Judy
Henneman of Highland Park, Il., Cathey Butts and Julie Berdan. Carla Sagen of
Wisconsin Rapids was the Junior bridesmaid. Their gowns of white and red floral
print voile-underlined with taffeta had long sleeves and red lace neckline
detailing. Each carried a single red rose with white ribbon streamers.
Serving as bestman was Robert Frank. Groomsmen were Mark Brandt of Marshfield,
Joseph Thomas Flanagan and Randall Butts. Guests were seated by Jay Butts and
Jeffrey Butts.
Eddy Sagen, Jr., Wisconsin Rapids, was the ringbearer and Carrie Marcillis,
Batavia, Il., the flower girl.
Jaclyn Henneman and Jerry Butts sang “On This Day,” “Oh Beautiful Mother,” “Our
Father,” and “We’ve Only Just Begun.” The organist was Mrs. Glen Short.
The bride was honored at prenuptial showers given by Cathey Butts at the Butts
farm and by Wanda Carr and Kathy Henneman at the Martin Goettl home.
The new Mrs. Butts is a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High School.
