Bonk, Angela T. (16 May 1921 – 6 May 2021)
Angela T. Bonk, age 99, of Withee, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at The
Sanctuary of Brooklyn Center in MN.
Angela was born on May 16, 1921, the daughter of Bela and Adeline (Czajkowski)
Laky in Chicago, IL. She graduated from high school in Chicago. Angela was
united in marriage to Walter Bonk on May 6, 1950 in Chicago. He preceded her in
death on March 29, 1979.
Angela worked at Teledyne Post Company in Owen until she retired. She went on to
work at the Owen-Withee Elementary School for 25 years and received the W. K.
Doonan Award in 2009 for her commitment and dedication to the O-W School
District. Angela also volunteered at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living
Center. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Polka Choir at
Holy Rosary. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family and friends.
Angela is survived by her three daughters: Kathryn Bonk of Minneapolis, MN,
Colette (Scott) Taylor of Maple Grove, MN and Theresa (Dan) McKenna of Green
Bay; three grandchildren: Kyle and Eric Taylor and Anthony Spencer; three
great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Caleb and Amelia Taylor. She is further survived
by one sister: Gloria Swart, of Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021
at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. Father Baskaran Sandhiyagu will
officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
May 11 with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home
in Owen and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Home Facebook page or after the service anytime on Facebook or the website. The
family requires those in attendance to abide by the Covid-19 guidelines by
sanitizing, wearing a mask (if able) and social distancing.
