Beyer, George (18 November 1908 – 19 August 1977)
George Beyer, 68, of Rt. 2 Granton, died early Friday morning, August 19, in
Neillsville. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from Zion American
Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant, with burial following in the Neillsville
City Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton.
Born November 18, 1908, in Milwaukee, Mr. Beyer lived there until 1960 when he
moved to a farm in the Town of Washburn. He was a member of Zion American
Lutheran Church. His marriage to the former Renate Dudei took place October 4,
1930, at Granton. She survives together with two sons, Ralph of Milwaukee and
Earl of Random Lake; one brother, Herman Beyer of Milwaukee; and five
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers.
Pallbearers were Steven Beyer, Michael Schulz, Elroy Schulz, Robert Dudei, Clem
Steffes and Daniel Pfannstill.
The congregation sang. Joann Grassman was the organist, and Martin Hillert, the
soloist.
