Bobby Barager, 6 year old son of Capt. And Mrs. James V. Barager, landed a 3 lb.
largemouth bass Monday evening, July 26, 1976, while fishing on Round Lake with
his father, Jim. Moment before, Jim had caught a 2 lb. bass and Bobby had just
finished marveling at the “big” fish, when he tossed his popper out near some
lily pads and had his prize hit. After a good fight, Bobby reeled in his
“whopper” and Jim netted it. They then returned to the cottage, where he proudly
displayed his first “really big” fish to his mother, sister, and neighbors.
