Eunice Miclat, a 1965 AFS student at Owen-Withee High School, from the
Philippines, spent Tuesday thru Thursday of last week at the Elmer Haselow home.
Eunice has had many experiences and has been in many places since she left Owen
in July 1965. She completed her college education in Manila, receiving a degree
in Christian Education. Since then she spent some time in Hong Kong, Korea,
Taiwan, and most recently Singapore.
Eunice works with Ecumenical Institute and spent three weeks in Chicago at the
Institute. Two weeks of this time were spent at the Global Research Assembly,
and one week at the Global Council.
She has been assigned to work on a Human Development Project in a village
outside of the city of Jakarta on the island of Java in Indonesia. This is to
encourage the people to become economically and socially independent. She will
be located there for at least a year.
While Eunice is here, she met old friends and classmate. Her time here was short
so she could not see all of them, however she did send greetings to all.
