Eibergen, Gary (Top FFA Winner - 1977)
Gary Eibergen, a recent graduate of the Granton High School and a member of the
Granton Future Farmers, continued his winning way Saturday by placing second in
the state in a safe tractor driving contest. Gary represented central Wisconsin
in the contest after winning the Merrill sectional contest last July.
In the state contest, he had to take a written test, drive several obstacle
courses and pass a safety inspection. All events were timed. Gary has a room
full of trophies and this summer he was selected by the FFA Alumni: as the top
FFA student in the state allowing him to attend a leadership school in
Washington, D.C.
His instructor is Francis Steiner, vocational agricultural instructor at
Granton.
