Steffen, Thomas Q. (3 Jun 2005 – 5 May 2021)

Thomas Querin Steffen, 15, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born June 3, 2005, to Chad Steffen and Lisa Mercier. Thomas was a student at North High School.

Thomas had a smile that would light up a room. He loved the outdoors, enjoying camping, bonfires, four wheeling, snowmobiling and swimming. He played football and baseball and was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Spending time with his friends gaming and hanging out was at the top of his list of things to do. Family was important to him, and he loved giving them a hard time, especially his sisters.

Thomas is survived by his parents, Chad Steffen and Lisa Mercier; sisters: Asheley Staggs and Sierra Meifert; paternal grandparents: Randy and Diane Steffen, and Randy and Cathy Roth; paternal great-grandpa, Robert Novak; aunts and uncles: Zach (fiancée Cassie Neese) Roth, Aaron (Mel) Steffen, Derek Steffen, Dave (Dawn) Mercier, Rich (Holly) Mercier, Dan (Penny) Bruesewitz and Lora Mercier. He is further survived by many cousins other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Shane Steffen; maternal grandparents: Albert and Dolores Mercier; paternal great-grandma, Irene Novak; and paternal great-grandparents: Querin and Maryann Steffen; aunt, Elaine Bruesewitz; uncle, Alan Mercier; and his beloved dog, Duke.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A private family service will be held for Thomas.
