Buss, Elizabeth (21 Nov 1891 – 6 Aug 1976)
Mrs. Emil Buss, 84, of RR 1, Curtiss, Wisconsin died at 3:50 Friday, August 6,
1976, at the Colonial Nursing Home at Colby. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on
Monday, August 9 at the United Church of Christ in Owen, Wisconsin, with Rev.
Loren Swanson officiating, and the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home providing the
services. Burial was at North Green Grove Church Cemetery (Colby Township – St.
Paul’s).
Mrs. Buss, the former Elizabeth M. Buss, was born November 21, 1891 in Germany,
and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 6, and lived all her life in Green
Grove Township, where she farmed with her husband Emil until his death in 1956.
In addition to her farming, Mrs. Buss also worked for the Clark County Health
Care Center.
Mrs. Buss was preceded in death by her husband Emil, in 1956, and her four
brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children, Henry buss of Curtiss,
Mrs. Lloyd (Emma) Haemer of Owen, Mrs. Robert (Anna Schneider of Greenwood, Mrs.
John (Elda) Burtard of Owen, Mrs. Alfred (Minnie) Schneider of Ladysmith, and
Mrs. Rueben (Linda) Hill of Owen.
