Obuchowski, Hattie (23 Apr 1893 – 19 Aug 1976)
Mrs. Hattie Obuchowski, aged 83, died on Thursday, August 19, 1976 at 12:55 p.m.
at the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.
The former Hattie Matusek was born April 23, 1893 in Poland, and moved to the
U.S. in 1914 and lived in Chicago, where she married Andrew Malinowski in 1924.
In 1928 she moved to a farm in the Lublin area, where she and her husband farmed
until his death in 1945. She continued to farm until 1949, then moved to Owen,
married Louis Obuchowski in 1952, who died in 1958. Mrs. Obuchowski lived in
Owen until 1972, when she moved to the Nursing Home in Stanley, Wisconsin, where
she lived until her death.
Mrs. Obuchowski is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Marie) Kolesar of
Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and two grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Saturday, August 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kraut-Maurina
Funeral Home in Owen, with Father Emil Hodnik of Abbotsford conducting the
service. Burial was at the Riverside Cemetery near Withee.
