Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (55th – 4 October 1977)
The 55th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horn was celebrated with
relatives and friends present, Tuesday afternoon, at the Memorial Home in
Neillsville, where Mr. Horn has been a patient since March 24 of this year.
Mrs. Horn, the former Mary Woepse, and Henry Horn were married October 4, 1922,
by the Rev. Otto Vriesen, pastor of the Immanuel Reformed Church in Greenwood.
The ceremony took place at the home of her parents, where the Horns farmed after
living in Thorp, the first two years of marriage. The farm was 8 1/2 miles
northwest of Greenwood. Their present home for the past 1 1/2 years is located
on the farm of their son, Lloyd.
Other children are Donald of Greenwood, and Mrs. Verne (Laverne) Vollrath of
Janesville. They also have ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Horn’s hobby is fancy work and crocheting. Mrs. Horn is able to perform her
own housework.
Attending from Greenwood were Mrs. Henry Horn, Mrs. Otto Horn, Mrs. Hubert Horn,
Mrs. Gust Horn, Mr. and Mrs. George Kuester, David Danielson and Mrs. Arthur
Hendrickson.
