Horswill, Candace (22 October 1977)
The St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Neillsville was the setting for
the October 22 wedding vows between Candace Horswill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Horswill, Neillsville, and Bruce Wagner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Wagner, Rt. 2 Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the 1:00 p.m.
ceremony which was followed by a reception at the groom’s home, a supper at St.
John’s Lutheran School at 5:00 p.m. and a dance following at the Silver Dome of
Neillsville.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a traditional white
gown, trimmed in Alencon lace, pearls and sequins. Featuring a cathedral length
train. The wedding dress was designed and created by the bride’s mother. White,
yellow and orange roses were accented by baby’s breath, sparkling jewels and
stephanotis to enhance the beauty of the japet orchids which centered the
trailing cascade.

Prewitt, sister of the bride, Mosinee; Marilyn Shaw, sister of the groom,
Greenwood; Janice Wagner, sister of the groom, Neillsville; and Michelle Becker,
cousin of the bride, Greenwood. Flower girl was Melissa Becker, cousin of the
bride, Greenwood.
There dresses were shimmering talisman orange featuring short caplets accented
with brown trim and hats to accent their bouquets. They carried yellow Fugi mums
and starburst, orange roses and brown gypsy bloom to accent. The bridesmaid
dresses were also designed and created by the bride’s mother.
The groom was attended by Don Wagner, Neillsville, as bestman, brother of the
groom; Steven Prewitt, brother-in-law of the bride, Mosinee; Verlyn Shaw,
brother-in-law of the groom, Greenwood; Jim Aumann, Neillsville; and Andrew
Becker, cousin of the bride, Loyal. Trainbearer was Mark Becker, cousin of the
bride, Loyal. Ring bearer was Bobby Wagner, cousin of the groom, Greenwood.
