Stevenson, (4 July 1878 – 17 October 1977)

A Granton native since 1933, Mrs. Marietta Stevenson, 99, of Rt. 1 Granton, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday, October 17 at Memorial home in Neillsville. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. William Noble is to officiate. Burial is to be made in the Windfall Cemetery rural Granton.

Marietta Trawin was born July 4, 1878 in Delphi, In. She received her formal education in that state and on June 29, 1910, was married to Lawrence Stevenson. Following their wedding, they lived in Canada for five years. In 1915 they returned to Wisconsin, living in Augusta and Neillsville. They then moved to a farm in the Town of Grant in 1933. Mr. Stevenson died November 2, 1974.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Jensen of Granton. Besides her husband, Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by two brothers.
