Kraut, Beverley F. (5 May 1936 - 8 February 2021)

Beverley F Kraut, 84, got to go home February 8, 2021 at University Hospital in Madison, while holding the hand of her niece.

Beverley was born in Clark County to Elsie (Karsten) and Franklin J. Kraut. She graduated from Owen High School in 1954 and went on to join the United States Air Force. She returned to the Curtiss area to study Nurses Training in Marshfield and then continued her education at Madison Business College, graduating in 1961. She held several office jobs during her career her last being with Nessvig Meat Purveyors.

She is preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Elsie Kraut. Brothers-in-law Ernest Boss and Albert Schultz. Longtime friend Barbara Penfield. Surviving her are sisters Betty Jean Boss (Abbotsford) and Bunee Schultz (Rice Lake). Nieces and nephew Susan (Harley) Timmerman, Hudson, Sandy (Daniel) Petersen, Madison, Donald Boss, Abbotsford, Jean (Matt) Lampi, Owen, Dawn (Jeff) Yost and Tami (Craig) Kurtzweil, MN

In her early years, Bev enjoyed playing softball in Mount Horeb as well as bowling and was a State Tournament winner in 1963. As she retired, she loved to spend her time at the cottage on Buffalo Lake. Fishing, gardening and crafts filled her days.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Green Grove Cemetery in Curtiss, WI. Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate. Military Honors provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227. Maurina Schilling Funeral Home Abbotsford is serving the family.

Beverley’s family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff at Waunakee Manor for their loving care during Bev’s stay.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Bev’s name is TBD at this time.
