Kuhn, Lois Marie (29 October 1977)
Lois Marie Kuhn and John Alan Garbisch were married Saturday, October 29, at the
Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. Horst Augustin officiated at the
ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn, Rt. 1,
Neillsville, and Mrs. Helen Garbisch, Rt. 2 Granton, and the late Fredrich
Garbisch.
For her wedding, the bride wore a total look organza gown with sequined
scalloped Chantilly lace and matching detachable train and a lace trimmed
cathedral length veil. She carried a cascade of bridal pink roses and baby’s
breath.
Miss Cathy Eron, Rhinelander, served as maid of honor, with Mrs. Terry Sischo,
Neillsville, Miss Mary Ellen Kuhn, Neillsville, and Miss Sally Moh, Eau Claire,
as bridesmaids. The maid of honor wore a rust chiffon Ette gown with Nottingham
lace trim and the bridesmaids wore apricot chiffon Ette gowns with Nottingham
lace trim. They carried tangerine carnations and daisies in a colonial bouquet.
Jennifer Hopfer of Milwaukee was the flower girl.
Robert Garbisch, Granton served as bestman with Rick Tucker, Madison Terry
Sischo, Neillsville, Jeff Eibergen, Granton and Rich Kuhn, Neillsville, as
groomsmen. Ronald Bartch of Granton served as ringbearer while Wayne Sorenson,
Wisconsin Rapids, Terry Garbisch and Russell Bartch all of Granton, seated
guests.
Following the ceremony, the Bali Hai Supper Club, Neillsville, was the setting
for a reception and dance.
The bride graduated from Neillsville High School in 1975 and from Mid-State
Technical Institute, Marshfield in 1976. The groom graduated from Granton High
School in 1976 and Mid-State Technical Institute in 1977. The bride is employed
at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield as a unit clerk and the groom is engaged
in dairy farming. After a wedding trip to Milwaukee, they will make their home
at Rt. 2 Granton.
