Zimmerman, Edwin F. (13 January 1889 – 26 October 1977)
Edwin F. Zimmerman, 88, Humbird, died October 26, at the Pine View Nursing Home
in Black River Falls, where he had been a resident for the past two years.
He was born at Humbird, January 13, 1889, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zimmerman. He
farmed in the Humbird and Alma Center areas for many years. He married Maude
Townsend at Merrillan, December 16, 1914. She preceded him in death, February
13, 1973.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Morgan, Sparta; Mrs.
James (Dorothy Warden, Eau Claire; and Mrs. Homer (Pearl) Rhoades, Post Richie,
Fl.; one brother, Albert, Humbird; one sister, Mrs. Clara Tande, Alma Center;
eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 29 from the Jenson Funeral Home in Hixton
with Rev. Ray Biggers of the United Methodist Church of Black River Falls
officiating. Burial was in the Mentor Cemetery in Humbird.
Pallbearers were Dewy Lange, Lester Buttke, Jim Trachsel, Lawrence Buttke,
Donald Zerbel and Elmer Duerkop.
