Jenkins, Miss (12 November 1977)
Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Mark Paul Burnette, who were married in Neillsville
November 12, will make their home in Spokane, Wa. They were married in
ceremonies at the home of the bride’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Donald H. Jenkins.
The bride is the daughter of the Jenkins and the groom is the son of Mrs.
Charles E. Burnette of Spokane. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Gary
Clark, pastor of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.
For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of ivory crepe with antique lace. She
carried a nosegay of white roses, white ‘mums with rust and yellow star flowers.
She was given in marriage by her father.
Bridesmaid was Laura lee Brogan of Marshfield. She was attired in a rust
velveteen skirt and vest with an ivory blouse and carried rust and yellow ‘mums
with rust and yellow star flowers.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mary Jo Short of Neillsville.
A reception was held following the ceremonies at the Neillsville Country Club.
The new Mrs. Burnette was graduated from Neillsville High School and the UW-La
Crosse and attended nursing school in Marshfield. She has been employed as a
secretary in Spokane. The groom, who attended the University of Washington at
Seattle, was graduated from North Central High School in Spokane. He is
presently employed at Northern Hardwood in Spokane. Following a wedding trip to
Seattle, the newlyweds will be at home at 3024 West Cleveland, Spokane.
