Gehrt, Velma (13 May 1923 - 9 December 1977)
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Harland (Velma) Gehrt, 54, who died
suddenly of natural causes at her Rt. 2, Granton home on Friday, December 9.
Born May 13, 1923, and educated in the Neillsville area, Velma Gehrt graduated
from Neillsville High School and worked at a dime store for a couple of years.
After her marriage to Harland, March 16, 1947, she farmed with her husband in
the Town of Grant until her death.
Deceased members of her family include her parents, Robert C. Bardeleben and
Minna (nee Nemitz), and one brother, Frank. She is survived by her husband.
The Rev. Gary Clark officiated at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home service, with
burial at the Neillsville City Cemetery.
