Schutz, Spec. Four Donald J. (Service Notes - 1978)
Specialist Four Donald J. Schutz, Granton, a member of the 82nd Airborne
Division, recently participated in a mass tactical parachute assault during
Operation “Desert Fox” at Ft. Irwin, Ca.
The three-week exercise was designed to hone the division’s fighting skills to a
keen edge, as they trained with the 1st Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division
from Ft. Riley, Kansas.
Spec. Schutz is regularly assigned as a radio telephone operator with the 82nds
504th Infantry at Ft. Bragg, N.C.
The specialist is the son of Mrs. Heriatta Schutz, Route 1, Granton. He entered
the Army in June 1976 and is a 1976 graduate of Marshfield High School. His wife
is with him at the fort.
