Swenson, Betty Lou (19 November 1928 – 27 November 1977)

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Waukesha for Betty Lou Wallace Swenson, 49, a former Neillsville resident, who died in Waukesha Memorial Hospital, December 27, after a short illness.

Born in Elkhorn, on November 19, 1928,whe attended schools in Neillsville. She was married on January 4, 1947, to James Swenson, in Dubuque, Ia. The couple lived in Neillsville and Milwaukee for a time but resided in Waukesha for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, James, Jr., Jeffrey and Tim, all of Waukesha; and two grandchildren; her parents, Elva and Theo Wallace of Neillsville; and five aunts, including Mrs. Clarence Reinart and Mrs. Dorothy Wallace of Neillsville, and Mrs. Wilbert Wischuelke of Granton. She was a niece of the late Mrs. Beulah Switalski and William Ewers.

Relatives and friends attending services from this area were, Mr./Mrs. Theo Wallace, Mr./Mrs. Clarence Reinart, Mr./Mrs. Almond Vandeberg, Mr./Mrs. John Swenson, Sr., Mr./Mrs. Calvin Swenson and family, Charles Swenson, Rosemary Anderson and Mildred Drew. Other relatives attending were Mr./Mrs. George White, Marshfield; Mr./Mrs. Roman Pschidt, Milwaukee; and Mr./Mrs. John Swenson, Jr., Westfield.

Funeral services were held at the Randle-Dahle Funeral Home, Waukesha, with the Rev. Chester Schendel of the Frist Methodist Church, Waukesha, officiating. Burial was in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
