Andreasen, Thyra (20 Sep 1890 – 16 Oct 1976)
Mrs. Carl (Thyra) Andreasen of Withee, Wisconsin, died on October 16, 1976 at
8:30 p.m. at the Continental Manor, Abbotsford, at the age of 86. Services were
held at the Nazareth Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 19 at 1:30 p.m., with
the Rev. Lloyd Yaggie conducting the services. Burial was at the Nazareth
Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Andreasen was born in Crystal Falls, Michigan on September 20, 1890, the
daughter of Anders and Dorothea Hansen. On October 2, 1014 she was married to
Carl Julius Andreasen of Withee, Wisconsin. They celebrated their Golden Wedding
Anniversary on October 2, 1964. Her husband preceded her in death on November
11, 1967.
Mrs. Andreasen is survived by her sisters, Miss Marie Hansen, Minneapolis,
Minn., Dagmar Norgaard, Brookings, South Dakota, Norgretha Mikkelsen,
Minneapolis, Elizabeth Hansen, Minneapolis, Valborg Rasmussen, Seattle,
Washington, and Cecelia Jacobsen, Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by one
sister and two brothers.
Mrs. Andreasen is also survived by her children, sons, Rolf of St. Louis, Mo.,
Clifford, St. Louis Park, Minn., and Norman, Withee, Wisconsin, and daughters,
Mrs. Hans (Inger) Larsen, Fridley, Minn., Mrs. Vern (Palma) Metler, Withee,
Wis., Mrs. Richard (Poma) Peterson, Circle Pines, Minn., and Mrs. Donald
(Esther) Asteroy, Wausau, Wis.
Mrs. Andreasen attended the Withee schools, worked for the Withee Library for 30
years, and was a member of the Danish Ladies Aid and the Nazareth Lutheran
Church.
