On Sunday, October 24, 1976 a farewell potluck dinner was held at the Alliance
Church for Pastor and Mrs. Lester Kringle and their family, with open house
following so friends could say good bye and wish them well.
Attending the farewell gathering was Rev. and Mrs. Arnold Woodring and their
children, Cherly, Vickey and David from Minneapolis. Rev. Woodring was the
pastor of the Alliance Church before Pastor Kringle.
In September it was announce that Rev. Kringle was intending to leave and seek a
new church. He and his family will now be moving to Green Bay, where they will
minister to an Alliance congregation in that city.
Pastor Kringle and his family moved to Owen in sept of 1970 from Watertown,
South Dakota, and have minister to the Alliance Church n Owen, and the one in
Curtiss. They children, Daniel, Sherry, John, Wendy and Tommy have attended the
O-W schools, and their son Dan is already living in Green Bay.
Most of their belongings are already in Green Bay, and the family expects to be
on their way either on Wednesday the 27th or Thursday the 28th.
