Volk, Jane Theresa (13 Oct 1976)
Miss Jane Theresa Volk became the bride of Victor Earl Schiszik on Saturday,
October 13, 1976 at Holy Rosary Church at Owen. The 2 o’clock nuptial ceremony
was conducted by the Rev. Richard L. Fliss.
Parents of the couple are John Roy Volk, Owen, and Mrs. Nomadine Volk, Withee,
and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schiszik, Curtiss.
Friends and relatives were ushered into Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, by
Bryan Johnson, Curtiss, and Daniel Volk, Withee. Nuptial music was provided by
Mrs. Bert Eberts, organist, and Mrs. Don Luedke, vocalist.
The bride, who was given in marriage by Dr. A. A. Jarvis, Withee, was attired in
an ivory floor length organza gown in empire styling, Venice lace trim and
chapel train. Completing her ensemble were a full veil attached to a Camelot
headpiece of matching lace, and a bridal bouquet of roses, yellow and burnt
orange mums, lily-of-the valley, ivy and baby’s breath.
Bridal attendants were Mrs. Gary G. Troxell, Oshkosh, matron of honor; Miss
Rhonda Ramburg and Mrs. Robert Ciszewski, both of Withee; Miss Diane Koltis,
Thorp, and Miss Janine Schiszik, Abbotsford, bridesmaids, and Miss Julie Volk,
Withee, junior bridesmaid. They donned Kelly green polyester knit gowns trimmed
with ivory Cluny lace. Each carried a basket of fall flowers, and wore a
circular arrangement of flowers in her hair.
Attending the groom were James Schiszik, Greenwood, best man, and Gary Jarvis
and Thomas Volk, both of Withee, Wayne Hustad, Lake Geneva, and John Volk, Owen,
groomsmen.
Additional wedding day events included a reception and dance at Dorchester
Memorial Hall.
Both are employed by Medford Memorial Hospital, the bride as a registered nurse
and the groom as a registered pharmacist. The new Mrs. Schiszik graduated in
1975 from the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, and her
husband graduated in 1974 from the School of Pharmacy at the UW-Madison.
The couple will reside on Route 2, Withee.
