Barnaske, John W. (27 Apr 1902 – 05 Nov 1976)
Rites were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen for
John W. Barnaske, 74, Owen. He died at 5:40 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital
in Marshfield.
Officiating at Tuesday’s rites was the Rev. Richard L. Fliss, pastor, Burial
followed in Withee Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Barnaske was born April 7, 1902 in Bellinger. He married the former Myrtle
Condon on March 14, 1934 at Neillsville. She died October 18, 1974. He worked in
the lumber camps in Ashland County and also worked as a machine operator for the
Teledyne Post Co. at Owen for 20 years, retiring in 1966.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Marjorie) Leinwander, Terre Haute,
Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Martha Andrews, Rice Lake, and four grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, eh was preceded in death by two sisters.
