Parrish, Joseph (10 December 1897 – 29 January 1978)

Joseph Parrish, 80, Rt. 1 Granton, was found dead at his home of an apparent heart attack, Sunday afternoon. He was born December 10, 1897, in Indiana, he operated the Parrish Dime Store in Neillsville for many years. He was married to the former Dorothy Howard. The couple later moved to Granton where he was a salesman for a silo company.

He is survived by two sons, Raymond Howard of Milton and Albert Parrish of Granton; one daughter, Mrs. Roydean (Lucia) Haupt, Germany; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Vincent of Milwaukee and Herman of Muncie, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 10, 1976.

Funeral services were to have been at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton with the Rev. William Noble officiating and burial at Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Pallbearers were to have been Walter John, Pete Anderegg, Grant Rose, Wayne Tolley, John Miller and Bob Bell.
