Brandt, Arnold W. (7 January 1901 - ? February 1978)
A man who gave long service to his religious denomination was buried in
Neillsville on Monday.
Funeral services were held February 20 for Arnold W. Brandt, a resident of the
Neillsville Memorial Home until his death. St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Neillsville, was the site of the services with Rev. Norman W. Lindloff
officiating.
Mr. Brandt, 77 was born on January 7, 1901, in Naugart to the Rev. Herman and
Wilhelmina (Hildendorf) Brandt. He attended schools in Neillsville before
transferring to high school in Watertown and later attended Northwestern College
in the same community. He married Susan Moerschel and then move to Milwaukee
where he worked for many years for Northwestern Publishing House, retiring in
1966 and moving back to Neillsville in 1973.
Among the survivors are one sister, Mrs. Ida Nehls, Neillsville: three brothers,
Paul of Pittsburgh, Pa., John of Oshkosh and the Rev. Frederick of Appleton.
Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, four sisters and one brother. No
children were issued from the marriage.
The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, was in charge of arrangements.
