Roberts, Susan A. (4 Nov 1946 – 12 Sep 2020)
Susan Ann Roberts passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2020. She was a resident
of Georgetown, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Michael Roberts; her sons:
Joshua and Timothy; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Susan was born in Janesville on November 4, 1946, and was adopted by Bernice and
Arthur Laabs. She was raised in Curtiss for 25 years. Susan then married Michael
and moved to Wausau. After Joshua was born, they move to Austin, Texas, where
Susan worked at many high-tech jobs. She then found her passion and love, and
went to work at the Wilco Sheriff’s office. Her skill at working with both
officers and inmates made her enjoyed by both. She contracted COVID-19 on the
job and passed shortly after. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of life at the Shortner Park in Abbotsford on the
12th of June, outside to CDC rules that apply at the time. In lieu of gifts or
flowers, donation to the American Lung Cancer Association would be appreciated.
