Quelle, Patricia Jane (3 December 1934 – 1 June 2021)

Patricia Jane Quelle, age 86, of Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Patricia was born December 3, 1934, in Neillsville, to the late Frank and Evelyn (Berg) Maurer. She graduated from Marshfield Columbus High School, in 1953. Married Alvin Quelle on July 28, 1954, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield.

Patricia worked at various businesses in the Marshfield area including Roddis Corporation and Karau’s Grocery. She also worked as the bookkeeper for Maple Hill Co-op Cheese Factory in Boyd. Patricia enjoyed her time working closely with Alvin at the cheese factory. After Patricia and Alvin moved back to Marshfield in 1985, she worked at JCPenney until her retirement.

Patricia was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church PCCW, Holy Family PCCW and taught as a CCD teacher. She also enjoyed bowling with the ladies’ league and playing sheepshead with their card club from Marshfield. Mom/Grandma loved attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her children: James Quelle (Tiffany) of Neillsville, Lawrence (Bernadette) Quelle of Loyal, Julie (Dean) Lingen of Stanley, Susan (Timothy) Lingen of Stanley, and Michael (Kathy) Quelle of Mesa, AZ. Grandchildren: Jennifer, James, Fawn, Melissa, Ashley, Cassandra, Travis, David, and Benjamin. Great-grandchildren: Michael, Mason, Octavia, Maya, Jocelyn, Caleb, Riley, Taryn, Kinlee, Kaia, and another great-grandson due in August. sister: Janice (Bob) Freeman; brother-in-law: Roy Quelle, Jr.; and sisters-in-law: Patricia (Otto) Kind and Jeanie Quelle.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin; parents in-laws: Roy Sr. and Mary Quelle; grandson: Adam Quelle; sister: Mildred (Albert) Perner; brothers-in-law: LaVern Quelle, Jerry (Evelyn) Quelle, and Loren Quelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 201 W. Blodgett Street, Marshfield on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend James Weighner officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
