Air Force ROTC Cadet, Gary Sterzinger, has recently been chosen “Distinguished
Cade” at the University of Wisconsin, Superior. The purpose of this award is to
give recognition to highly motivated cadets in the freshman and sophomore years,
who display initiative, desire, and leadership ability while enrolled in the
Cadet Crops Program.
Criteria for the selection of a distinguished cadet are as follows: must be in
the top five in inspection rating, have a grade point average of 3.0 or above,
and AFROTC grade point of 3.0 or above. He must have no unexcused absences in
class and Leadership Laboratory.
Appearance, participation in extra-curricular activities and letters of
commendation will be considered when making selections.
Cadet Sterzinger is majoring in Physical Education and is the son of Mrs. Corina
Sterzinger, Colby. Gary is a 1970 graduate of Colby High School.
