Reel, Wilbert
COLBY, July 26 -- Wilbert, 15 months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Reed, farmers
living 4 1/2 mile southwest of here, suffered a fractured left arm early Monday
as his father backed a tractor from a shed at the Reel Farm.
Just how the child was injured is not known, but it is believed that his arm may
have been caught in the spokes of the tractor wheel. It was fractured above the
elbow. Reel was not aware of the child's presence until he had driven the
tractor out of the building.
The child was taken to the office of Dr. H.T. Callahan, at Spencer, where the
fracture was set, and the infant was taken to its home again. The accident
occurred at about 10 a.m. Monday.
