Liesenberg, Nick (20 Mar 1900 – 8 Feb 1972)

Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. for Nick Liesenberg, 71, route 1, Medford, at the Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester, with Robert Ruprich of Dorchester Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, officiating. Burial was in the Stetsonville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Blasel, John Busch, Carl Klabunde, Paul Feddick, Carl Hoffman and Ernest Richwalski.

Mr. Liesenberg died last Tuesday, February 8, 1972 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He was born March 30, 1900 in Germany and worked as a blacksmith there before coming to America in 1923. At that time he settled in Perkinstown. On September 24, 1929 he was married to Christine Paulsen at Medford. They lived in Perkinstown until 1949, when they bought a farm in the Town of Little Black, Taylor County, where they had farmed since.

He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Frances and Agnes, both at home. Also surviving are three brothers, Max Liesenberg, living in Germany; John of Phoenix, Arizona, and Herman of Medford; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Hermsen in Germany.
