Zugier, Lucille (22 February 1924 - 24 Aug 2002)

Lucille A. Zugier, 78, Marshfield, formerly of Medford, died Saturday, August 24, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield.

Funeral services for Lucille will be Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer, with the Rev. Steve Gjerde officiating.

Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Zugier, jack Miller, Allen Zugier, Jimmy Zugier, Dennis Miller, Jeff Zugier, Joseph Arvelo and Travis Miller.

Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

Lucille Ann Pokallus was born February 22 1924, in Colby, the daughter of Henry and Winnifred (Olson) Pokallus. Lucille and Alfred Zugier were united in marriage July 18, 1941 in Dubugue, Iowa. They later divorced.

A homemaker, Lucille resided in Medford until 1963, moving to Milwaukee where she was employed with the Milwaukee Resistor Company. Upon retirement, she moved to Marshfield in 1990.

Lucille will be dearly missed by her six children, Connie (Clarence) Miller of Medford, Richard (Eleanor "Nonie") Zugier of Boyd, Linda Marchinek of Unity, Donna (Joe) Arvelo of Milwaukee, Peggy (Mike) Radakovich of Milwaukee, Roger Zugier of Eau Claire; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; twin sisters, Vera Prahl of Wellington, Nevada and Verna Harris of Cameron Park, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a bother, Lloyd "Bud" Pokallus; great-grandson David Wayne Zugier; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Zugier. Maurina Funeral Home of Abbotsford assisted the family with arrangements.
