Woempner, Helena E. (23 Jun 1891 – 9 Mar 1972)

Mrs. Helena E. Woempner died at the Taylor County Hospital in Medford on March
9, 1972 at the age of 80. Funeral service were held Saturday at Christ Lutheran
Church in Abbotsford, with the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiating. Burial was in
the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Born Helen E. Benzmann in the Town of Mayville (Clark Co.), Mrs. Woempner
attended the Pleasant Hill School. She was married in St. Peter’s Lutheran
Church in Dorchester in 1911. He preceded her in death in 1956.
Mrs. Woempner was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alma Skoog, Boyertown, Pennsylvania, and
Mrs. Wilmer (Alice) Paul of Curtiss; three grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren and one half-sister.
Shew as preceded in death by three children.
Pallbearers were Leo Bumann, Hans Amacher, Bernard Ellenbecker, Ole Hanson, Al
Uhlig and Joe Courchaine.
