Embke, Diane Marie (Engagement - 1979)
Announcing the engagement of their daughter, Diane Marie, are Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Embke, Rt. 1 Neillsville. Diane’s fiance is Barry Lee Courts, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Oliver Courts, Windom, Minnesota. Both Diane and Barry are presently
attending Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, Owatonna, Minnesota. A June 2 wedding
date has been set.

Embke, Diane Marie (2 June 1979)
The new Mr. and Mrs. Barry Courts are making their home in Owatonna, Mn. The
couple was married June 2, in ceremonies at the Bible Baptist Church in
Neillsville. The bride, Diane Marie, is the daughter of Ronald and Nancy Embke,
Rt. 1 Neillsville. The groom is the son of Oliver and Maxine Courts, Windom, Mn.
In the wedding ceremonies, the Rev. David Webster officiated, and the father of
the bride presented her to the altar.
The bride was attired in a long, silk organza gown that was trimmed in lace and
featured a high neckline and long sleeves. Her veil was made of matching lace
and was fingertip length. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, blue sweet peas
and white carnations.
Sharon Embke, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She was joined by Sandy
Elliott and Kelly Fisher from Pennsylvania and Kris Courts, a sister of the
groom from Windom as bridesmaids.
Bestman was Brad Byers, Walnut Grove, Mn. he was joined by Mark Fish and Terry
Embke, a brother of the bride, both of Owatonna, and Mike Contando of
Pennsylvania, Kevin Wiebe and Dick Smith, both of Bingham Lake, Mn., were
ushers.
Music was offered by the bride and groom who sang, “Our Lives Are Thine.”
The new Mrs. Courts graduated in 1977 from Neillsville’s Bible Baptist Bible
College in Owatonna. She is employed at a supermarket in that community. Barry
is a 1975 graduate of Mountain Lake High School and completed three years at
Pillsbury. He is employed by the Viracon Glass Company in Owatonna.
