Scholtz, Charles E. (6 March 1931 – 1 March 1978)
Charles E. Scholtz, 46, a former Neillsville resident, died March 1 at his
residence in Milwaukee after a long illness. He was born in Neillsville March 6,
1931, to Lewis Scholtz and Mary Huckstead. He received his education before
moving to Milwaukee in 1952 where he was employed at Briggs & Stratton until his
death. He was married to Marilyn Laufer in 1969 and was a lifetime member of the
Eagles Club in Milwaukee.
He is survived by his wife; one step-daughter, Rollynn Jantz; his step-mother,
Florence Counsell of Neillsville; one brother, Arlo of Eau Claire; four sisters,
Mrs. Virginia Gassen, Mrs. Edith Kunze and Mrs. Ruth Holman, all of Neillsville,
and Mrs. Joyce Hill of Elroy; one step-brother, Keith Counsell of Frazier, Mi.;
and nieces and nephews.
With Thomas Helgerson officiating, funeral service were held Saturday afternoon
at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel, Milwaukee, with burial there.
Arrangements were made by Krause Funeral Home, Milwaukee.
The family requests that any memorials be presented to the American Cancer
Society.
