UW-Stevens Point (Honors - Fall Semester 1977)
Certificates of recognition are being mailed to students who excelled
scholastically during the fall semester at UW-Stevens Point.
But the number of people on the campus honor roll is significantly less than
what it has been in the past because the UW-SP faculty has raised the gradepoint
qualifying students for academic recognition.
Chancellor Lee Dreyfus said students with grade points from 3.75 (B plus) to 4.0
(straight A) are designated as scholars of highest honor. High honor citations
are going to students with grade points from 3.5 to 3.74. Previously, honors
certificates were issued for grade points between 3.2 and 3.39, but that
category has been eliminated.
The following is a list of highest and high honor students by Clark County
community:
Colby: Julie Jacobson and Mary Langus, both highest honors: and Dawn Olson high
honors. Curtiss: Linda Krause, high honors. Granton: Robert Dudei, Rt. 2, high
honors. Greenwood: Lisa Larson, 305 S. Main Street, high honors; and Kent
Simonson, 323 White Street, highest honors. Loyal: Victor Dull, highest honors.
