Tykac, Emil (27 October 1900 – 8 March 1978)
A man who worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and later retired to
the Granton area, Emil Tykac, 77, was found dead at his Granton home, Wednesday,
March 8.
Tykac was born on October 27, 1900, in Granton, married Grace Lawson who died in
1959. He later married Elfreida Garbisch. He is survived by his wife and one
brother, Frank Tykac of Marshfield.
Committal services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Windfall Cemetery with
burial there, officiated by the Rev. Stephen Ellerbusch of the Grace Lutheran
Church of Nasonville. Pallbearers for the service included Norman Braatz, John
Hammond, Russell Kuehn, Melvin Garbisch, Oscar Bartsch and Ervin Garbisch. The
Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
